My Life

My name is Bryan Hackett.  I am the worship minister at West Freeway Church of Christ in Fort Worth, TX.  My beautiful wife, Susan, and I were married in May 2000.  We have two amazing kids, Colton (4) and Lynzie (2).

I grew up in Lamesa, TX, a small town in West Texas, where my dad has been the Church of Christ pulpit minister for about 24 years.  I graduated from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX, in May 2000, with a bachelor of music degree with an emphasis in vocal education.  I taught for one year in Tulia, TX, as the assistant band/choir director at the middle school and high school.  I then went to Bowie Middle School in Amarillo, TX, for 5 1/2 years, before teaching at Bonham Middle School for 1 1/2 years.

For years, I helped lead worship at the University Church of Christ in Canyon, TX.  As I grew in my abilities as a worship leader, I began to realize that my passion for worship to the Father was calling me to enter full-time ministry.  In July 2008, my family and I moved to Fort Worth to work for the church at West Freeway.

There is no greater joy on earth than for me to worship our God and Savior and to lead others in their worship of our Creator.
Psalm 100 NIV

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
